About the event

Run for the Animals is a fun, family friendly event to benefit the Cohanzick Zoo.

NEW START AND FINISH LOCATION THIS YEAR - The race will start and  finish at the Cohanzick Zoo, 45 Mayor Aitken Drive, Bridgeton, NJ.

The Cohanzick Zoo opened its gates as New Jersey’s first zoo in 1934.  Home to nearly 100 animals representing more than 45 different species  from around the world, the zoo has been a regional destination  attraction for generations. We are a small free zoo, situated on  approximately 15 acres within the city of Bridgeton’s 1100-acre park,  but we provide a home for some larger-than-life animals including  Holly, our Asiatic black bear! We’ve been described by many as a hidden  gem nestled in the woods, well off the beaten path.

Packet pick up will be available race morning starting at 8am at the  starting line, 45 Mayor Aitken Dr. in Bridgeton.  The race starts  promptly at 9am

Race shirts are available free to those who to register before  9/12/2024.  Following 9/12, race shirts will be available on a first  come, first served basis.

Awards will be given to the top 3 Female and Male finishers.
